STS Connect · Guide
How STS Connect works, in detail.
Every feature, verification, WhatsApp, privacy and shops. Jump to what you need.
Posting a need, or spare capacity
Post a requirement in a minute
Job work, raw material, a service or manpower. Quick picks fill in the common ones; add quantity, date, budget and drawings or photos. A dictionary of 1,500 parts and jobs suggests as you type, in Marathi too. A post stays open 15 days (you can choose 1 to 30).
Sell your free machine hours
Post your spare capacity, such as “VMC free next week”, and buyers who need it reach you. Those who respond see your number only after you accept.
Responding
Price, delivery days and a message. A unit's first 3 posts a day trigger alerts; a unit receives up to 5 alerts a day (shops 20).
Search and ranking
Search by process, MIDC or whole district. Results are ranked by distance from your industrial area (by area centre points, never a unit's private pin), how soon the work is needed and whether anyone has answered yet. A post can be limited to verified units.
Every unit is checked before it goes live
No profile appears, posts or responds until our team approves it. Badges show “Documents verified” (GST or Udyam checked) and “Site verified” (visited in person).
Sign in with your email
A one-time code arrives by email. There is no password to remember.
Fill your profile in three short steps
Basics; machines and processes; then documents, website and the map pin for your gate. Turnover and the other extras are optional.
Our team checks it
We look at the GST and Udyam numbers, numbers already used by another unit, the location and the photos, and we may call you.
You go live, usually within one working day
You get a message as soon as you are approved. If something is missing, we tell you exactly what to fix; save your profile again and it comes straight back to us.
Privacy and the map
Private until you accept
Your phone, WhatsApp, email, GST, Udyam number and address stay hidden. A unit sees them only after you accept its response; our verification team sees them too.
Your gate on the map
Drop a pin on the map (OpenStreetMap, zoomed to street level) or use your phone's location. The pin is never public; units you accept get directions straight in Google Maps.
Your data stays yours
You can export all your data from your account and delete the account at any time.
WhatsApp alerts
No need to keep checking a website. When a unit near you needs what you do, you hear about it on WhatsApp, in Marathi or English, with a link to see the details and respond.
- New work that matches your processes, in your district
- Your profile is approved, or what to fix before approval
- A unit responded to your post
- Your response was accepted, with their number ready to call
Only if you tick WhatsApp alerts when you sign up or in your account. At most a few alerts a day, and you can switch them off any time. Every update also comes by email. Alerts come from +91 99237 56314 and replies to that number are not read; for questions, WhatsApp 98812 14707.
A profile buyers can judge
Machines with make and size (up to 100), processes, photos of your unit, certifications, ZED level and website. Machine names suggest as you type, in English or Marathi. Choose the district, then the industrial area (Nashik first); all 36 districts and 296 areas of Maharashtra are listed. For hardware shops: shop hours, delivery and public listing.
Ask STS Connect
A built-in assistant for short questions in English, Marathi or a mix: “CNC turning near Satpur”, “urgent work for me”, “EN8 म्हणजे काय?”, “PPAP meaning”. It finds units, open work, urgent work and spare capacity, and carries a dictionary of 120+ shop-floor terms. It runs on your phone, uses no outside AI service and never shares contact details.
Works on weak network
Drafts of the post form stay on the phone, a post made without signal goes out by itself later, the lists you last saw are shown offline, and the dictionary is kept on the phone. No app to install; on Android, add it to your home screen.
For hardware shops
Hardware and spares are the most frequent requirements of all. Shops upload their catalogue (up to 3,000 items; Excel or CSV, matched to the dictionary), appear in the “shops near me” search (nearest first, call, WhatsApp, directions, open/closed now), and get an A5 poster (Marathi + English) and a QR link. A customer who joins through a shop's QR within 30 days is linked to that shop; a hardware need they post is shown to that shop 30 minutes before anyone else. Shops can receive up to 20 alerts a day.
Good to know
Is it really free?
Yes. Posting, responding, alerts and the assistant are free for MSMEs, with no commission and no fee per lead. Sagar Tech runs STS Connect to connect Nashik's manufacturers; our other services, such as STS Manufacturing ERP, are separate and only if you ask for them.
Why does my profile need approval?
To keep fake and duplicate profiles out, so that every unit you deal with is real. Our team checks your details, usually within one working day, and may call you. Until then you can browse work and complete your profile.
Who can see my phone number?
Only units whose response you accept, or whose post accepts your response, plus our verification team. Your phone, WhatsApp, email, GST, Udyam number, address and map pin are never shown publicly.
Which areas are covered?
The pilot covers all MIDCs and industrial areas in Nashik district. All 36 districts of Maharashtra are listed, so units elsewhere can join and post today.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It opens in any phone or computer browser. On Android you can add it to your home screen and it works like an app.
What is different for a hardware shop?
Shops upload a catalogue and appear in the “shops near me” search. When a customer who joined through a shop's QR posts a hardware need, that shop sees it 30 minutes before anyone else; shops can receive up to 20 alerts a day.
